Sharks hungry for 2026
THE Mossman Sharks are preparing themselves for another big season as they seek redemption from the 2025 season.

With a roller coaster season last year and some amazing wins, they also dropped some games that they knew they should’ve walked away with, which ultimately eliminated them from the finals.
The 2025 season saw both Mossman Sharks A and B grade sides face their fair share of challenges through injuries and issues regarding form.
Even through all that the A grade side made their way into the finals while the B grade squad narrowly missed out.
With a new season now upon them they know it’s a clean start and look to build off what they learnt last season and hope to be a true contender for the 2026 campaign.
The Sharks hold plenty of motivation and hunger for this season seeing the clubs’ archrivals Cairns Brothers win four straight premiership titles and reign supreme for the decade. The Sharks have been hard at work in the off season doing a variety of dreaded fitness and agility exercises.
With all this training, the Sharks were preparing for their first on field action in the annual Chairman’s Challenge, where they face a variety of sides in a round robin tournament to sharpen up on their skills and game plan before the actual season kicks off.
Unfortunately, due to recent weather events the competition was cancelled, no longer giving the Sharks that game opportunity before season start.
While inconvenient, the Sharks remain confident and optimistic knowing that the hard work they’ve been putting in will pay off. The official season begins in roughly two weeks so all Sharks squads are now locked and loaded and massively eager to get the 2026 campaign underway.
The Sharks start their season on the road on 21 March against the Yarrabah Seahawks in a much-anticipated rivalry round matchup.
Even though the season draw is released, the Sharks are taking each game as it comes, and each week look to sharpen up to make their 2026 campaign as successful as possible.
