Deadline looms for signing up
REGISTRATIONS for the upcoming senior basketball season in Cairns are closing soon, with players and teams required to sign up by Friday 30 January 2026.
The next senior season is scheduled to begin on 2 February, with registrations open through the Cairns Basketball website at www.bit.ly/3NMyLdN.
The competitions are open to individuals who want to play but do not yet have a team, as well as teams still looking for additional players.
Organisers have advised that late registrations will not be accepted once sign-ups close.
Information on how the senior competitions operate, including registration requirements and team structures, is available online.
The process is designed to accommodate both returning players and newcomers ahead of the new season.
There is an over-40s team that people can register for and games will be played every Thursday night at 6:30pm.
With the 2 February start date approaching, organisers are finalising team allocations and preparations for the upcoming competition.
Anyone interested in taking part is encouraged to complete their registration before the Friday 30 January deadline.
